Welcome to Fort CollinsWe're glad you have moved to Fort Collins. The Newcomers Club provides an excellent way to meet other newcomers and has many activities to help you learn about the area.

Membership: Eligibility for membership includes those who have resided in Fort Collins and the surrounding towns or other unincorporated areas for two years or less. Surrounding towns or areas must have a population of fewer than 40,000 according to the city tax records (Loveland's population exceeds 40,000). To remain a member, you must renew your active status annually for up to four full, consecutive fiscal years.

Dues: Annual dues are payable by October 1, the beginning of our fiscal year, and are $30.00 per single member or household. If you join between May 1 and September 30 of a given fiscal year, your dues will be $15.00 for the remainder of that fiscal year. You will then be required to renew for the next fiscal year by October 1 and your dues for that full fiscal year will be $30.00.

When will you graduate? If you join between:

  • May 1, 2009 and April 30, 2010, you will graduate September 30, 2013.
  • May 1, 2010 and April 30, 2011, you will graduate September 30, 2014.
To apply for membership:
  • Complete the personal contact information.
  • Indicate your activitiy interests - all activities open to all members (check as many as you like).
  • Read the Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement and agree by clicking the I/we agree... checkbox.
  • Click Send Form and send a check made out to Fort Collins Newcomers Club for $30.00.

Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity AgreementIn consideration of being permitted to participate in certain activities associated with the Fort Collins NewcomersClub (FCNC), I/we (THE SIGNED), for himself/herself, his or her personal representatives, heirs, and next of kin,acknowledges, agrees and represents that he or she understands and accepts the risks inherent in any activity oractivities he or she will participate in with the FCNC.

Further, THE SIGNED agrees that personal safety is of the utmost importance and is primarilydependent upon the individual taking proper care of him or her self and, therefore, THE SIGNED agrees tomake sure that he or she knows how to safely participate in all activities, and agrees to observe any and all rules andpractices which may be employed to minimize the risk of injury and agrees and warrants that if, at any time, he orshe feels anything to be unsafe that he or she will immediately advise the appropriate FCNC official(s) of such andwill immediately cease participation in said activity.

THE SIGNED hereby releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue FCNC and its members, allfor the purposes herein referred to as "releasees", from all liability to THE SIGNED, his personalrepresentatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefore onaccount of injury to the person or property or resulting in death of THE SIGNED, whether caused bynegligence of the releasees or otherwise while THE SIGNED is participating in any activity with FCNC.

THE SIGNED understands that FCNC is not an agent of, and has no responsibility for any third party,which may provide any services including food, travel, or other goods or services associated with the organization.

THE SIGNED further understands that FCNC may provide these services only as a convenience toparticipants.

THE SIGNED agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FCNC from and against any and allliabilities, damages, claims, lawsuits, costs (including court costs, attorneys fees) and actions of any kind ordescription for any damage, loss or injury caused by an act or omission on the part of FCNC and its members,including any negligent conduct but excluding any gross negligence or willful misconduct of FCNC or its members.
